Credit the advent of social media for the launch of Derrick Muna Quinata’s highly successful business ventures. Quinata was in his early twenties and already a top salesman at a leading auto dealership when he recognized the potential of the emerging technologies. “At that time social media was at its infancy stages here, and I was pitching to our upper management that this is the way to go. I started to advertise myself. I would use my own money to put my name out there in social media. And I actually got in trouble for it,” he narrated.
