Gloriously Les Miserables

It's the longest-running musical production at London’s West End, having started in 1985 and playing continuously until today. Worldwide, only the The Fantasticks has run longer (42 years). But with the way Les Miserables the musical is still packing in the crowds (and making them weep and sing along) in each stage production in different parts of the world, it may just be a matter of time before it becomes number one. Its success can be credited in large part to its timeless score and beloved songs composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg with original French lyrics by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel and English adaptation by Herbert Kretzmer.
