How To Buy A Gun

Every year, the Guam Police Department issues more than 2,000 new gun licenses, and registers between 3,000 and 4,000 firearms. Unlike in New Mexico and Alaska, where one can legally purchase and carry a weapon without a license, the process on Guam is not for those who are adverse to jumping through some bureaucratic hoops. Every first-time gun owner on island will pay $173 in fees, make three trips to the Bank of Guam Building (formerly known as the ITC Building) in Tamuning, and one to the GPD Armory.
