Every 38 minutes, Make-a-Wish grants the wish of a child with a life­ threatening medical condition, hoping to bring him or her hope, strength, and joy. "Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces and the gratitude their parents and family members show .. .it's the most rewarding part of being a part of Make-a-Wish;' said Victor Camacho, the local chapter's executive director. "For them, it's a time for kids to forget about being sick. It's a time for families to not have to worry about anything and just enjoy."
